**Please note: New date on Sunday, March 22nd.**
Celebrate Navruz/Nowruz the start of Spring with traditional Uzbek dishes! We have invited RPCVs who have served in Uzbekistan to share their own stories of this Central Asian culture. Enjoy a special Sunday Supper Uzbek Style on Sunday, March 22 at 5:00 PM at Rus Uz Restaurant in Ballston. It’s bound to be a fun time and the restaurant comes highly recommended! While Peace Corps CEO Paul Shea was invited to join us for this dinner, he is unavailable that day. We will host him Friday, February 6th at Upside Food Hall in Rosslyn. See our calendar for details—and join us for both events if you can!
Rus Uz offers an eclectic, yet welcoming dining space inspired by a traditional Uzbek home, complete with artwork and collectibles from Uzbekistan and beyond. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and designed for connection. Guests may enjoy appetizers or a hearty dinner featuring cherished family recipes that celebrate the rich flavors of Uzbek and Russian cuisine. Family-owned and passionately run, Rus Uz brings a true taste of the Old World to the Washington, DC area, with locations serving a thoughtful blend of both culinary traditions.
The menu also includes traditional and infused vodkas, select beers from Russia, and non-alcoholic options such as compot, kvas, and tea—perfect for relaxing and savoring the evening.
Rus Uz is located at 1000 North Randolph St. Arlington VA 22201 near Ballston Metro. Please confirm your attendance, so we can save you a place at the table.
We look forward to seeing you there!
