Message to RPCVs

A new podcast that heavily relies on Peace Corps voices launches on September 5 th .
SoftPower/FulStories relies on first-person stories to highlight the personal side of US soft
power, foreign assistance, and cultural diplomacy. These are stories that show the importance and
lasting impact (overseas and here at home) of constructive US engagement.

As you can imagine, RPCVs play a considerable part in this story and make up the largest group
of people interviewed for SP/FS. Host and former US diplomat Christopher Wurst has talked to
RPCVs from every corner of the globe and from throughout the past 60+ years—from a woman
who Sargent Shriver personally asked to join the first PC cohort to people in their twenties
freshly back from their tours. Interviews include two former Directors, and numerous volunteers
who have gone on to success in business, the non-profit sector, the arts, academia, and
diplomacy.

These stories need to be heard, and a strong podcast launch can go a long way. Here’s how you
can help:

 Follow the show, wherever you get your podcasts. There’s even a dedicated YouTube
channel.
