Featured Presentation: RPCVs’ New Mission: Build Peace at Home
Amid America’s poisonous polarizations, RPCVs are working to build peace from the grass roots up. Nationwide, former volunteers are using their cross-cultural skills in their hometowns and states to help calm conflicts, rebuild civic unity and protect democracy. We’ll hear news of this movement—and discuss how we can expand it.
About Our Presenter
Jim Rupert is an RPCV (Morocco vocational education, 1980-82) and career foreign affairs correspondent and editor (for The Washington Post and other news organizations and think tanks). For the past decade, he has been a writer/editor on peace and conflict issues at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
